Animals

The animal models produced by the Porcelain Manufacturer Allach far outnumbered the other categories of porcelain as far as number of designs and the total number of pieces produced. Theodor Karner, already one of Germany’s most notable animals skulpturers, designed the majority of the animal figure seen at Allach. These various designs were to serve the German publics requirements for relaxation and to romanticize and idealize all animals, thus serving as an ideoligical asset for SS Reichsfuhrer Heinrich Himmler. A porcelain animal figure to the Germans does not just represent an art object but the German love for nature which enhances the love for animals.
